All these Tragedies in the World:

People ask me what is God saying or what was he doing as these floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and other natural disasters occur.  As a Believer, here is what the Lord has placed on my heart & some questions you might want to ask yourself:

1. He is the Lord God Almighty. Who are we to ask Him to answer us for what He decides to do or allow?

2. What God, those that are experiencing disaster, what God are they serving? Many accounts in the Torah (first 5 books), Neviim(prophets) and Ketuvim(writing) relate records of God destroying those that served other gods.

3. Man has destroyed and continues to destroy this earth. Why should we blame God when things occur that is out of our control? God made the earth perfect and when we imperfect it, we get imperfect results, like a chemical experiment.

4. God’s promise to protect people is only given to His people. Yes He shows mercy to many and does the same to just and unjust people, but to those that are called by His name are promised protection by His Angel and His Spirit.

5. He who creates a thing is the Creator. We cannot control when a Creator decides to Destroy a thing.

6. What is in their bloodline? God says He visit the 3rd and 4th Generation to pay for the sins of their fathers.  What idolatry or spiritual adultery have they committed?  Are other gods hovering over their cities? Those gods do not protect, but bring damnation.

7. Immortality? We are all not promised to leave this world without death…only Enoch and Elijah walked directly into the Lord’s presence.  Now I’m praying this prayer myself, but most pass this world through death.  When its your time to go, you must go; but I know of an account of one appointed to die (Hezekiah) and he cried out to the Lord on his bed, facing the wall, and afterward, God extended his life for 15 more years.  He sought the Lord and the Lord granted him mercy.  You too can seek the Lord for mercy for your life and your families.

Ask Jesus to come into your life.

Confess that His death and resurrection covers you.

Release your past, your sin, your natural nature to Him.

Then He will protect and alter your life and be with you in trouble!

A Carpenter’s job

I’ve often wondered why Jesus chose the job of a carpenter as a job choice.  The answer had to lie in what a carpenter’s job is known for, I surmise.  So I looked it up.  A carpenter:

  1. prepare the foundations of buildings
  2. install beams, girders and footing forms
  3. build stairs and stair forms
  4. construct sloped and unequal pitch roofs
  5. apply wall and ceiling coverings, inside and outside
  6. install trim, doors, baseboards, mouldings, cabinets and other finish carpentry
  7. lay floors of resilient tile or hardwood strips
  8. erect and insulate walls, ceilings and floors
  9. fireproof beams and columns

So is the Lord Jesus showing us yet another truth about His character and nature through his short career choice?  He is the foundation and lays one in us?

Spiritual Rules the Natural

I realize that all things are working together for my good….because I love the Lord and I’m called to His purpose.  Yet I must remeber in all things that the Spiritual realm in reflected in the Natural realm.  That is always is first, deeper, higher, permeating than the things we can sense with what the Lord made us with.

Sinner’s Prayer:

Dear Lord & Father, You are the Creator of all things and I know you created me. But I recognize I am a sinner through Adam's Fall and you sent your only Son, Jesus Christ to live, die and be raised from the dead for me. I repent of my sins and renounce all evil works and serving of other, lower, and lesser gods before thee. Come into me life and cleanse me by your Blood. Make me whole and well by your Holy Spirit. I now desire to live for you. Let your Holy Spirit guide me in all things. In the Name of Jesus Christ, AMEN!

Things to consider:

Jesus never charged for His Sermons, Preaching, Healing, etc...why should we put His Anointing on books, tapes, and cds, and charge people for it? I recall How angry Jesus was when the leaders of the Church of His time altered the purpose of the temple and made it a business. Shouldn't we too, be afraid to do the same? UPDATE: a minister pointed out, He didn't have to because His own people were financing Him. They were wealthy...
