Why serve a god that doesn’t answer?
Why serve a god that you must make with your hands?
Why serve a god that you need to carry with you?
Wouldn’t you rather have the Creator of all things you see and cant see, on your side?
Wouldn’t you rather have the most High that doesn’t need to seek counsel from any other?
Wouldn’t you rather have the One who answers every cry and prayer you could ever make verbally and silently?
Those gods made with hands are the works of satan, for whatever is not from the Lord is from His enemy. This is demon worship that has grave consequences. You may achieve temporary success in your life, but demons dont have the full authority to give you lasting peace nor victory and eternal life in death.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.
1 Kings 11:4
For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
1 Kings 11:10
And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
2 Kings 17:16
And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.
And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.
For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
