Is Catholicism a false doctrine?

You determine for yourself with the information provided here.  I am not intending to insult nor go for political correctedness.  God is not PC. I am only going for the truth.  Hopefully we start on agreement that the Bible is True and so the Word is True, and God is the Word ( John 1).  Lets look at some truths to examine our question.  I will bring to light 5 points here:

Number 1.

The Catholic Pope is referred to as “Holy Father”.  Although the Bible tells us to be holy as He ( God ) is Holy, it also states in Deut 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.”  This tells us that we only have ONE HOLY FATHER and He is Spirit, not a man.  One could argue I Corinthians 4:15, where Paul says “Even though you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.”  But he was referring to being a spiritual father on earth, birthing a movement to the gentiles first, as he was sent to them, since Jesus was first sent to the Jews.  Yet He never called himself the Holy Father and he might have more reason than a Pope to do so, ( Philippians 3: 5 – [Paul was]circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee) yet again he doesn’t.

Number 2.

Interesting history of how the adoration/Worship of the Virgin Mary and the baby Jesus began.  The Bible tells us:

1. “He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his
judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the
springs of water.” new international version Revelation 14:7

2.”Let no man rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the
angels, dwelling in the things which he hath seen, vainly puffed up by his
fleshly mind, and not holding fast the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit
together through the joints and bands, increasing with the increase of God.” american standard version Colassians 2:18-19

3. “I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and
seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing
them to me.But he said to me, “Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your
brothers the prophets and of all who keep the words of this book. Worship God!” new international version Revelation 22:8-9

4. “All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols–worship him,
all you gods!” new international version Psalm 97:7

The Bible is repleat with verse on idols being made by men’s hands, but is lower than the true Lord of our Universe.  Worshipping Mary is actually an old pagan idol redined.  The rosary also is an idol, directed at Mary, whom should not be prayed to according to the Word. See below for more information on how Mary was brooought into the Catholic religion:

A large part of what would later become basic Roman Catholic liturgy came into the church at that time, as the Alexandrian church copied the Egyptian worship of Isis, the Egyptian Queen of Heaven (Jer. 7:18; 44:17-19,
25). Here is how the Egyptian Mother Goddess and her Child were worshiped by the pagans in Egypt:

“The daily ritual of Isis, which seems to have been as
regular and complicated as that of the Catholic Church, produced an immense
effect on the Roman mind. Every day there were two solemn offices [services], at
which white-robed, tonsured priests, with acolytes and assistants of every
degree, officiated. The morning litany and sacrifice was an impressive service.
The crowd of worshipers thronged the space before the chapel at the early dawn.
The priest ascending by a hidden stairs, drew apart the veil of the sanctuary,
and offered the holy image to their adoration. He then made the round of the
altars, reciting the litany [mystic words in an unknown tongue], and sprinkling
the holy water from the secret spring.” -Samuel Dill, Roman Society from Nero to
Marcus Aurelius, page 577-578. [2 Tim 2:15-16; Lk 20:3-5].

The “Queen of Heaven, the Mother of God” concept came
directly into the Christian church from the Mother and Child cult in Egypt–the
worship of Isis and Horus. When this concept entered the church, it was
accompanied by the idea that Mary was to be worshiped as the “mother of God.”
This caused a split in the church and the banishment of Nestorius, a Christian
who opposed the new teaching. Images (statues) of Isis holding Horus had already
been accepted for worship by pagans all over the Roman Empire, for they were
patron gods of Roman sailors.

But then in the fifth century a very significant thing
happened. The names “Isis and Horus” totally disappeared, and in their place
appeared Mariolotry–the worship of the Virgin Mary holding her Child (Mark
3:31-35; Luke 11:27-28; Matt 10:37).

Martin Luther wrote his 95 theses to the Catholic Church in the early 1500s to address much corruption and incongruent ways of the church with the Bible.  Because the Catholic Church was not mentally and spiritually to reform and seek the Lord, the Protestant Church began.  Time Line of Church History:

Please examine them to see how the Catholic Church was conducted and what changes according to the Truth that Luther wanted to make:

Cumont, Olcott and other scholars clearly show that December  25 was the yearly date of the annual birth of Mithra [sun god of the Persians]. On that date, his followers held a special celebration of the fact that the sun was beginning to rise again higher in the sky. (It was lowest at the winter solstice, December 21, and not until the 25th could its rising be clearly seen.) This birthday of the sun-god was made an official holiday in the Roman Empire by Aurelian about
the year 273. Here is what Williston Walker, a well-known church historian, has to say about this:

“December 25 was a great pagan festival, that of Sol
Invictus, which celebrated the victory of light over darkness, and the
lengthening of the sun’s rays at the winter solstice. This assimilation of
Christ to the sun god, as Sun of Righteousness, was widespread in the fourth
century and was furthered by Constantine’s legislation on Sunday, which is not
unrelated to the fact that the sun god was the titular divinity of his
[Constantine’s] family.”–Williston Walker, A History of the Christian Church,
third edition, page 155.

Wow, we see that December 25th’s true meaning had been disguised and the big corporations are taking financial advantage of us during the Winter season!  Remember no matter is meaning have been reapplied to a thing, the roots are still remaining. Can a tree live without its roots?  No pun intended, but a christmas tree was used to aid in worshiping idols/false gods and not Christ!

Number 5.

I challenge everyone to find in the scripture where there is a place called purgatory.  Where the Catholics believe people go after death to be cleansed of sin and/or be punished until the set time for them will come to to to heaven.  My Bible only speaks of two place after the second death, heaven or hell.  I heard it be spoken of on the level of heaven and hell, but not enough to have full understanding of.  Please share if you have any information on the existence of purgatory.

Do you believe these proofs above lead to salvation to God or deterrent of faith?

Sinner’s Prayer:

Dear Lord & Father, You are the Creator of all things and I know you created me. But I recognize I am a sinner through Adam's Fall and you sent your only Son, Jesus Christ to live, die and be raised from the dead for me. I repent of my sins and renounce all evil works and serving of other, lower, and lesser gods before thee. Come into me life and cleanse me by your Blood. Make me whole and well by your Holy Spirit. I now desire to live for you. Let your Holy Spirit guide me in all things. In the Name of Jesus Christ, AMEN!

Scripture of the Month-March

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Things to consider:

Jesus never charged for His Sermons, Preaching, Healing, etc...why should we put His Anointing on books, tapes, and cds, and charge people for it? I recall How angry Jesus was when the leaders of the Church of His time altered the purpose of the temple and made it a business. Shouldn't we too, be afraid to do the same? UPDATE: a minister pointed out, He didn't have to because His own people were financing Him. They were wealthy...
