Whenever I get into Christian circles, the topic turns to getting back what the enemy stole from them, and it’s ALWAYS a 7-fold restoration.
Is this according to the Word of God?
The Bible says we don”t get what we ask for if we prayer amiss, or incorrectly. (Scripture paraphrased). So Since God and His Word are one, if we say the wrong thing, I don’t think we’ll be seeing it anytime soon.
God is like a symphony, if the instruments aren’t tuned to the right harmony, you wont hear the symphony.
The Bible breaks down these specifics on stolen property:
*Case #1
Leviticus 5:14-16 – if someone mishandles or steals property decided to the Lord
Restoration is – full value of that thing plus 1/5 added to it.
*Case #2
Leviticus 6:1-5 – if someone lies about protecting/keeping/receiving your belongings or has extorted them
Restoration is – the objects that were in question plus 1/5 added to it.
*Case #3
Exodus 22:1 – if someone steals your property and destroys or sells it
Restoration is – four or five times the value of it.
*Case #4
Exodus 22:4 – but if your property it found on the person
Restoration is – double that property.
*Case #5
Exodus 22:7 – if you give something to someone to keep and someone steals it from them
Restoration is – also double.
*Case #6
Exodus 22:14 – if one borrows something that gets destroyed
Restoration is – full value of that thing.
*Case #7
Proverbs 6:30-31 – if a person who is poor and starving and steals your stuff for food
Restoration is – seven times the value of what was stolen.
Everyone claims sevenfold, but other amount are actually more accurate. God is only obligated to keep His Word and if we misapply it, we wont get the results we are looking for. Know His Word and apply it correctly to your life and situation and He will bless. Tell me, have you ever received your sevenfold yet?
